Project Steps
- Start with 120-Grit Paper and finish with 240-Grit Paper for smoothest finish.
- Begin by attaching the MM11 Sanding Pad on the tool.
- Tighten the screw with the hex wrench to secure the sanding pad.
- Affix the 120-Grit Sanding Paper to the pad.
- Power the tool on and set to medium speed.
- With sanding pad flat to the wood, begin sanding.
- Always move the pad in the direction of the wood grain.
- The triangular shape and beveled edge of the cordless Multi-Max and sanding pad allows for complete and easy access to the entire surface you’re sanding, particularly when you get to awkward edges and corners. The cordless aspect allows you to sand any area of your deck, no matter how remote or far from an outlet.
- Repeat sanding motion over entire areas with 120 Grit Paper and sand a second pass with the 240-Grit Paper.
- Select a stain, finish or paint for your deck to give it a new look.
Safety reminder: When working with a Dremel brand tool or any other power tool, always wear eye protection and a dust mask, and read and understand the owner’s manual prior to using.
